Five Unusual Anti Ageing Techniques

Fed up of wrinkles, crow’s feet and frown lines? Want to look younger than your years? Then try these five anti-ageing techniques. They’re weird, wacky and slightly controversial, but they should make a difference to your appearance (fingers crossed).

Haemorrhoid cream

According to Glamour Magazine, Sandra Bullock uses haemorrhoid cream underneath her eyes to reduce puffiness – and she certainly looks red-carpet ready most of the time. This controversial product is thought to shrink, sooth and smooth wrinkles in one quick application and is flying off the shelves in Hollywood, so give it a go (if you dare).

Wine bath

Would you take a wine bath?

Is your skin looking a bit worse for wear? If so, why not hop into a bath full of Cabernet Sauvignon or Pinot Noir?

That’s right; red wine is said to be good for your skin and can leave you with a nourished and vibrant complexion.

Desperate Housewives star Terri Hatcher is reportedly hooked on wine baths, so run the hot taps and swap bubbles for a much-loved tipple (just try not to drink any).

Boob job creams

Let’s face it; everything goes south with age – including breasts. If yours are looking a bit droopy, a decent boob job cream could be just what you need. They tighten the décolleté area and (if rumours are true) can take your bra size up a cup or two.

Tight, firm bosoms are a symbol of youth, so it’s worth a go, right? Breast augmentation surgery can also improve your bust – but it depends how you feel about going under the knife.

Bee venom facials

Believe it or not, bee venom face creams are popular with the rich and famous. They offer a pain-free alternative to Botox and are thought to get rid of lines and wrinkles on the face. Kate Middleton is believed to have had one before her wedding and the Duchess of Cornwall is said to be a fan. If you don’t fancy rubbing poison on your skin, glycolic facial peels can offer the same results on smoothing out your skin.

(Editor’s note, you can try a bee venom facial for yourself at home, the image of Anna’s Pocket Bee Venom mask takes you to the product page – or try this one for Nature’s Beauty Bee Venom Cream Mask!)

If you’ve gained a few extra pounds of late, hypnotherapy could really help. It programs the brain to reject cravings and worked wonders for Lilly Allen – who is said to be a fan. If this seems too spiritual, take a leaf out of J-Lo’s book and sniff grapefruit oil instead. This pungent product is believed to reduce cravings and can really help with middle-age spread.

Look glamorous no matter what your age and feel wonderful throughout 2012.
